Make a plan:
Avoid the morning race to be first to the bathroom by forming a showering schedule. No one wants to get the last shower and have to start their day with an icy experience, we recommend staggering showering between morning and evening to ensure everyone gets enough hot water. If this is not possible, try to wait at least 15 minutes between each shower to allow your water heater to catch up.
Don't wait around!
In the mornings, every minute counts. Are you standing next to your shower or faucet waiting for hot water? With a quick installation of a home comfort re-circulation pump we can resolve this problem for you. We simply install a small recirculating pump at your water heater as well as a manifold under a sink and your days of waiting are over.
Washing machine overload:
With gym class, football practice and the usual school clothes, your wash machine can take a beating. One of the easiest and simplest tips we can give is to only do laundry when you have a full load. Over time, your supply hoses wear out so keep an eye on those. We recommend replacing them every five years with new stainless steel braided hoses. You can check out our article for more information here. Also, keep an eye on your drain hose, we have seen them come out from their hole in the wall and dump gallons and gallons of water into homes.
Once school starts, more meals are prepared in a hurry. To avoid clogs no one has time for, be aware of what you are putting down your kitchen drain and garbage disposal. Regardless of who is on lunch box duty, keep fats, greases, and fibrous goods out of your disposal.
